What custom finishes can True Wheel apply to my wheels?

We apply custom paint and clear-coat finishes including custom colors, hyper silvers, blackouts, satin clears, and two-tone combinations across the face, barrel, and lip. Each finish is matched to your specification, cured, and sealed with a protective clear coat. Note: True Wheel does not offer powder coating. All custom work is paint-based, color-matched, and clear-coat finished.

Can you do a two-tone or face-and-lip color combination?

Yes. Two-tone finishes are a core part of custom wheel cosmetics: black face with machined lip, gloss face with satin barrel, or any combination of two compatible colors. We mask, finish, and re-mask each section to keep the color edges sharp. Pricing depends on the number of separated color zones per wheel and is quoted after we see the wheel.

How much does a custom wheel finish cost?

Accepted Answer

Custom cosmetic finishes start from the cosmetic repair base of $175 per wheel and adjust up based on color complexity, two-tone work, and finish type. Satin clear coat adds $25 per wheel because it requires double the clear material. Wheels 22 inches and larger have a $25 large-wheel up-charge. How long does a custom refinish job take?

We recommend scheduling custom work in advance so your wheels are not sitting and curing is uninterrupted, but you are welcome to walk in during business hours to drop off your wheels or talk through finish options.

Question 5

Will a custom finish last as long as the factory finish?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when applied to our specification. The paint and clear coat system we use is the same class as factory finishes and is rated for heat, brake dust, and weather. The 10-year limited workmanship warranty for the original vehicle owner covers clear coat peeling or delamination that occurs without impact or underlying corrosion. New curb rash, rock chips, or impact damage are not covered, the same as a factory wheel.
